Customer adds items as normal, then opens the Personpack builder from the cart. They name each person (Steve, Dave, etc.) and assign which products + sizes go in their pack. Quantities update automatically. £2.50 is added per named person.
- Name input lives on the Personpack page, not on the PDP — keeps the catalogue clean and avoids the "qty 3 = 3 inputs" problem.
- Cart drives the available product pool; sizes are picked per person.
- Order confirmation lists each person's pack separately, which becomes the packing slip in the warehouse.
- Logo / embroidery options are added at checkout, after Personpacks are set.
Individual Packing — proposed flow
A per-line checkbox in the Cart. Only shown on products flagged as "can be individually packaged" in the product data file. Items that ship pre-boxed (boots) or pre-packaged (folded trousers) display the reason inline and the checkbox is hidden.
- Customer ticks per line, not a blanket cart toggle — full control.
- Fee = £0.49 × qty of every ticked line, recalculated live.
- "Pack all eligible" shortcut for big orders.
- Product data flag drives eligibility:
can_be_individually_packed: true/false.
